LUCKNOW:
Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut reiterated on Monday that a grand Ram temple would be constructed in days to come and the Ayodhya dispute would not be an issue in the next Lok Sabha election.
“It is time for final decision on the vexed issue. We cannot say what would be the court’s decision but no one can stop construction of Ram temple which is associated with the faith of millions of Hindus,” he said, adding that for people, PM
Narendra Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath are the court.
Speaking to reporters ahead of Sena chief’s scheduled visit to Ayodhya, Raut said that Uddhav Thackeray had visited the temple town before Lok Sabha elections and had promised to come back after polls. “He is fulfilling his promise,” Raut said. Thackeray and 18
Shiv Sena MPs are expected to visit Ayodhya on June 16.
Raut, who met CM Yogi in Lucknow on Monday, said that people have reposed faith in Modi and would abide by what he says. “Sena was of the opinion that Ram temple be constructed before any government is formed. However, the terror strike in Pulwama and subsequent developments changed the political discourse. National security became the prime issue. Both BJP and Sena sought mandate in the name of national security,” he said.
