The Mi Band 4 comes with a slightly different design than its predecessor. The wearable is a bit bigger than the Mi Band 3, and its charging pins have been relocated to the rear instead of the bottom. Notably, the new fitness tracker comes with six colour options for the strap, double the number of choices available for its predecessor. Just like the Mi Band 3, its successor also features 5ATM rating for water resistance.

Moving on to the other features, the Mi Band 4 sports a 0.95-inch AMOLED colour touch-enabled screen with a resolution of 240 x 120 pixels and a layer of a 2.5D curved glass on top. The display is capable of showing app notifications, SMSes, WhatsApp messages, fitness details, and a lot more. You can control the music playback of your phone on the screen of the device. Notably, the wearable can also be used to control Xiaomi’s smart home ecosystem devices.

In the fitness department, you get a heart rate sensor and tracking features such as step counting, and sleep monitoring. The device can detect different activities such as running, jogging, cycling, and more. The company has equipped the wearable with an upgraded six-axis sensor, which can intelligently detect different swimming activities such as Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly stroke, and Medley. Just like the earlier Xiaomi fitness bands, the Mi Band 4 also pairs to your smartphone via Bluetooth. Notably, the wearable flaunts a microphone that lets you control devices by using the XiaoAI assistant.

Mi Band 4 Avengers Edition

The company also launched another variant of the Mi Band 4 with NFC connectivity, which lets you make mobile payments on the go. There’s also a special Avengers Edition of the wearable with the same specs but design themed after Marvel’s Avengers franchise. The clasp of the bands on this limited edition variant will feature logos and icons of popular Avengers characters such as Captain America, Iron Man, etc.
