MUMBAI: A delivery boy of Parsi Dairy, who allegedly siphoned off Rs 29,500 from his employer and was absconding, was arrested on Sunday by Azad Maidan police.

Bipinkumar Yadav was arrested under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections for cheating and breach of trust. "Baktiyar Irani of Parsi Dairy had lodged a complaint that Yadav, who used to deliver dairy products to customers, collected cash from clients from April to June this year, but did not hand over the money to the cash department, and later went absconding," said an officer.
Based on a tip-off, police laid a trap and arrested him from Naigaon in Palghar district. Police said he had transferred few cheques to his own account, which needs to be probed.
