A 19-year-old girl resident of Amraiwadi area of Ahmedabad, has lodged a complaint alleging that from the past two-and-half years a man raped her several times and threatened her if she revealed it to anyone. As per police, the incident came into light, after the frightened victim narrated the entire incident to her father.

As per the complaint, the victim is a labour worker and lives with her father and younger sister. Around two and half years back, the accused identified as Sagar Makwana who also is involved in extorting money from the locals, saw her and fell in love with her. After which the accused stalked her and harassed her.

After she denied him, Makwana threatened to kill her father and harass her younger sister. In order to save her family, the victim gave-in to his demands. Post that, the accused booked rooms in different hotels and guest houses located in Maninagar, Khokhara area, where he raped her. He even recorded a video and blackmailed her.

About seven months back, after been mentally and physically harassed by Makwana, the victim stopped responding to his demands and ignored him. On June 7, afternoon, the victim received a call from Chetna Pitroda, friend of Makwana who convinced her to meet near Maninagar Railway crossing.

Pitroda, alongwith Makwana threatened to throw acid on her face if she refused to meet Makwana's demands and also threatened to kill her father in an accident. The victim then narrated the entire incident to her father and lodged a complaint with Amraiwadi police station against the two accused.

BJ Zala, inspector of Amraiwadi police station stated, "The accused are still absconding. We have lodged a complaint and have started an investigation. Soon both accused will be arrested."
