Couple ends lives in Hyderabad hotel

HYDERABAD: A couple committed suicide at a hotel in Chandanagar on Monday by consuming pesticide. It is alleged that their families refused to accept the relationship.
The deceased are 21-year-old Swanalatha, a BTech student and 25-year-old Mohan Naik, a driver. “We suspect that their families did not accept the relationship as they both belonged to different castes.
They eloped on Monday morning,” said Chandanagar SI Bhaskar Rao.

No suicide note was found. “Their families found out that the couple was staying in a hotel in Chandanagar and came searching for them. However, their room was locked.
When the staff opened the door, the couple was found dead,” added the officer. A suspicious death case has been registered.
