AirAsia have launched dirt cheap flights departing between Perth and Lombok four times a week.

The one-way fares, starting from $99, will fly Australians to the Indonesian island dubbed 'the new Bali', from Sunday night.

'Blissful beaches, top surfing and dive sites, and picturesque mountains … I encourage those looking to book their next holiday to consider Lombok,' AirAsia Indonesia CEO Dendy Kurniawan said.

Perth Airport CEO Kevin Brown says Indonesia is Perth Airport's largest outbound market and is an attractive destination for many Western Australians.

The airline's new four-day-a-week service will add more than 74,000 seats a year to the Perth market.

The AirAsia flight schedules between Perth and Lombok will take place on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Lombok is a ferry ride away from Bali and the island's other tourist attractions include the Tiu Kelep Waterfall and the beaches in Gili Air.
