A prisoner has been charged with murder following the death of an inmate at a Queensland jail on Sunday.
A man, 27, was found unconscious in his cell at Borallon Training and Correctional Centre in the state's south-east 60 kilometres west of Brisbane at around 5.30am on Sunday.
The inmate was pronounced deceased at the scene, despite desperate attempts to revive him.

'Resuscitation was commenced immediately by custodial officers, but the man could not be revived,' a Queensland Corrective Services statement read.
'Incidents of this nature are challenging and difficult, and we thank our officers for their attempts to assist the man. They are being supported by management and employee support services.'
'Our condolences go to the man’s family and friends.'
The death was referred to Queensland Police, which released a statement on Monday to say that a prisoner, 42, has been charged with one count of murder.
The man is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court later on Monday.
