Hilarious moment first-time hunter talks a 250lb black bear down from the tree platform he wants to use - and says 'thank you' when it obliges

This is the hilarious moment a first-time hunters tries to coax down a 250lb black bear from his hunting platform. 

Bryan Reber was out in Alberta, Canada, when he came across the unlikely visitor on the metal platform he was planning to use.

Despite looking up and seeing the huge bear, Mr Reber didn't panic and instead calmly tried to reason with the trespasser.

Incredibly, the bear seemed to understand Bryan's concerns and in less than a minute, climbed down the ladder and disappeared into the trees.

The video footage shows Mr Reber saying to the bear: 'Hey, that's my tree stand. Come on, there's not enough room. You need to get down.'

As the big beast climbed down from the platform, Mr Reber joked: 'Hey, you look just like me getting down there.

He said: 'This was my first hunting trip so this has never happened before.

'When I arrived to my spot for the evening, I was greeted by the bear. It certainly startled me.

'I immediately grabbed my phone and started recording before trying to talk him down.

'Amazingly he climbed down and disappeared into the forest.' 

After returning to the ground, the bear makes its way and even turns around as Mr Reber thanks him for leaving the platform
