KEAM Rank List 2019: Kerala engineering, pharmacy, architecture rank lists published

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala engineering entrance rank list has been announced here on Monday. As many as 45597 candidates have found place in the rank list published by higher education minister K T Jaleel.

Vishnu Vinod, of Anakkara in Idukki district ranked first with a score of 584.91 . He had emerged as top ranker from Kerala in the JEE Main Examination, results of which were announced this January. Goutham Govind A of Kochalummoodu in Kottayam district won the second rank with a score of 571.52. Aquib Nawaz of Vadavathoor, Kottayam and Sanjay Sukumaran ofKattukulangara, Kasargodu bagged the third and fourth ranks respectively.


There has been considerable increase in the number of candidates who cracked the state engineering entrance test, said the minister. Of the 30539 candidates from the state higher secondary stream appeared for the examination, 2341 have cracked the test. The first and second rank holders too were had pursued the state higher secondary course. Of the 13536 candidates from CBSE stream, 2464 have found place in the engineering rank list.


The rank lists of Architecture and pharmacy entrance examinations were also published. Naveen Vincent of Mundakkal in Kollam district won the first rank in pharmacy entrance test. Nidha Nisma M K of Chenmakathu, Malappuram and Rohit K of Oorakam Melmuri, Malappuram won the second and third ranks respectively. Of the 56318 candidates appeared for the pharmacy entrance, 39912 have figured in the entrance rank list. Rank lists of engineering, pharmacy and Architecture are prepared by giving equal weightage to the score obtained by students in the entrance test and the marks they scored for the physics, chemistry and mathematics examinations in the qualifying course, plus two or equivalent


In the architecture stream, Alice Maria Chungath of Kuriachira in Thrissur district won the first rank with a score of 366.83. For architecture rank list, the score won by the candidates in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA). Ansha Mathew of Payyavur in Kannur and Gaurav R Chandran who lives in Vadodara in Gujrat have won the second and third ranks.


The option submission for the courses would begin on Wednesday and the first allotment can be expected by June 20th.
