Udhagamandalam:
The 75th staff course,
consisting of 482 officers of the Indian Army,
Navy, Indian Air Force as well as officers from the allied services of the ministry of defence, commenced on Monday at the Defence Service Staff College (DSSC) in Wellington. As many as 40 officers from 31 foreign countries will also take part in the 11-month PG course.
DSSC commandant Lt Gen YVK Mohan, AVSM, SM, VSM addressed the officers on the opening day.
On successful completion of the course, the officer-students are awarded an MSc degree in Defence and Strategic Studies by the University of Madras. While staying in the DSSC, spouses of the officers are given opportunities to attend PG diploma in management and public relations and certificate courses in soft skills.TNN
