Despite the hardships with its smartphone business, LG seems to be in no mood to give up on it just yet. Alongside its 5G plans, the company is also reportedly prepping the Stylus 5 mid-range smartphone as renders of the handset surfaced online, showcasing the phone’s design in its full glory. From the images, which appear to be from a case maker, it is evident that LG hasn’t changed much in terms of design from its predecessor. In the renders, the phone can be seen sporting a single rear camera and a physical fingerprint sensor on the back for biometric security.

Furthermore, the LG Stylo 5 is expected to come with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a selfie snapper. The volume rockers are the right, while the power button is on the left. The stylus holder is likely to be placed on the bottom along with speaker grills, 3.5mm audio jack and USB Type-C port. Since these originate from a case maker, minor design changes are expected from the actual product when released. Unfortunately, details regarding its specifications are under wraps for now. Given that the LG Stylo 5 moniker was recently spotted on Global certification forum, and the brand had launched the Stylo 4 at the same time last year, we might be inching closer to the launch.

Separately, LG started teasing the W series smartphone in India. It could feature AI-enabled triple rear cameras that could include a standard, a telephoto, and a wide-angle lens. The handset might pack a more modern design with a glass-sandwich build as well as a waterdrop-style notch that is user customisable. The upcoming LG phone will come in three colour options: black, green, and a blue-purple gradient hue. It could get a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, volume and power buttons on the left spine, and SIM tray on the right. LG claims the W-series handsets would be pocket-friendly and could take on the Galaxy M-series online.
