In FIH Men’s Final Series played at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar, India thrashed Uzbekistan 10-0. With this win, India has booked a semis spot. The goals were scored in 4th, 11th, 15th, 22nd, 26th, 27th, 30th, 45th, 53rd and 60th minutes. Akash Deep Singh was declared man of the match.

This is the first time World No. 5 India faced World No. 43 team Uzbekistan, which gained qualification to the FIH Series Finals by finishing first in the FIH Series Open in Pakistan in December last year.

Earlier this evening, South Africa defeated Mexico by 6-0 goals. The morning match between USA and Japan was drawn by 2-2 goals each.

The next matches will be played on Wednesday between position holders of Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ teams.
