Stock market update: Realty shares bullish; Sobha gains over 1%

NEW DELHI: Realty shares were trading in the positive zone in Monday's morning session.

Shares of Brigade Enterprises (up 1.30 per cent), Sobha (up 1.16 per cent), Oberoi Realty (up 1.11 per cent) and Phoenix Mills (up 0.64 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

DLF (up 0.61 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (up 0.42 per cent) and Mahindra Lifespace Developers (up 0.28 per cent) too were trading higher.

The Nifty Realty index was trading 0.38 per cent up at 280.40 around 10:22 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 71.35 points at 11,942 while the BSE Sensex was up 258.55 points at 39,874.45.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 38 were trading in the green, while 12 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Bank of Baroda, PNB, SAIL, J&K Bank, SBI, Dish TV India, Motherson Sumi and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
