
South Indian and Bollywood actor Girish Karnad passes away at the age of 81
South Indian cinema and Bollywood actor Girish Karnad passes away at the age of 81 in Bengaluru due to prolonged illness. He was honoured with Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri for his commendable contribution to the Entertainment world. Not just an actor, he was a director, playwriter who managed to impress everyone with his acting skills.

"Karnad died at home at around 8:30 a.m. due to age-related symptoms," an official in the Karnataka Chief Minister's office told IANS.
He was seen in Bollywood movies like Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, Nishaant, Manthan, Swami, Pukar, Dor, Iqbal and Kannada movies like Samskara. He was also seen in Tv series, Malgudi Days. He won many National Film Awards and Filmfare Awards for his roles in different movies.
He has also won National Award For Best Direction. Not just this, he has won Sahitya Academy award too.
