Two kids die in house fire

Palanpur: Two children — an infant and a toddler— die of severe burn injuries on Sunday evening when a hut caught fire in Vedla village about 20 km from Amirgadh town of Banaskantha. The mother of the two children suffered burn injuries in the incident.
Police said that incident took place when Mugdiben (40) was preparing tea while her two daughters Rajki (2) ) and a 15-day-old were sleeping.
“A spark from the earthen stove set the hut ablaze. Mugdiben went to village to seek help but before people could come to her rescue the kids were burnt to death,” said police.
