MSU to offer certificate course on bonsai art

Vadodara: M S University’s Faculty of Science will be offering a certificate course on basics of bonsai under the Center for Life Long Learning.
A bonsai is created from plant species having small leaves. Bonsai development can be done on a cutting, or seedling or even on a small tree.
The 20-day programme will begin from July 1. “Interested persons can fill up online form available on our website,” said professor Arun Arya, former head of Department of Environment Studies, who will be coordinating the lectures with bonsai experts.
“This programme has helped many members not only create their own bonsai plants but will also get an opportunity to display their collection in the exhibitions. The course does not require any previous expertise and classes usually run in the evening in English, Hindi and Gujarati,” he said.
