Postal Colony burglary: 2 nabbed from Chennai

Coimbatore: A special team of the rural police on Sunday nabbed two more people in connection with the burglary reported from Postal Colony in Perur on May 27.
Police identified them as Rajkumar, 29, a call taxi driver from Devarkulam village in Tirunelveli and Murugan, 28 a native of Cuddalore district. Both of them were detained from Chennai. They will be brought to Coimbatore on Monday.
Burglars had targeted the house of V Rajagopalan, a retired BSNL employee, and decamped with 70 sovereigns of gold ornaments and Rs 1.40lakh in cash when the family was out.

Police had detained K Karthick, 26, of Perumalpuram in Tirunelveli, S Rajendran, 38, of Zameen Uthukuzhi near Pollachi, R Thangaraj, 25 and S Praveen, 26, of Muthugoundanur near Kinathukadavu, and seized a motorcycle, an SUV and a pair of gloves from them.
They are on the lookout for four more people in connection with the case.
