LLR hosp to probe thrashing of burn patient’s kin by docs

Kanpur: Authorities of Lala Lajpat Rai hospital has decided to initiate a probe against the junior resident doctors who had allegedly thrashed a burn patient’s kin on Sunday.
On Sunday morning, kin of a 14-year-old burn patient, Avneesh, native of Rasoolabad area of Kanpur Dehat, alleged that they were severely beaten up by junior resident doctors when they requested them to get his ultrasound done at the hospital itself.
Later, they also allegedly thrashed the attendants of an another patient who went to their rescue.

Superintendent of LLR hospital, Prof RK Maurya, said, "We have sought the list of junior resident doctors who were on duty at the surgery department of the hospital on Sunday morning. A committee would conduct a probe and summon the accused JRs whose names have cropped up in the thrashing incident.
"I would like to assure that the guilty will not be spared and action will be taken against them", said Prof Maurya.
