Nagpur: Fame is not new for Prerna Convent student
Sakshi Didpaye, who with a score of 98.6% has emerged as the probable joint
SSC second topper in the city. Didpaye has performed in a popular dance show on TV along with many other cultural events that have brought her recognition.
But that did not distract her from studies. A trained Kathak dancer, Didpaye has balanced both her academics and cultural talent to score extremely well. Even a stay in the hospital last year due to dengue did not affect her morale.
Didpaye said, “I am proud of my results and to be honest, I am not surprised. I studied extremely hard and even when I was in the hospital I ensured that my books were with me. A lot of reading helped me to understand the topics better. But along with the daily studies, I gave time to myself and enjoyed my passion for dance. I also teach Kathak to small kids. This helps me concentrate a lot.”
She feels that there is no shortcut to success and one has to slog it out. “Hard work and dedication are the only two attributes which will help you in not only academics but throughout your life. Balance it out and the right things will find you automatically,” said Didpaye.
