TIRUPATI: Upbeat after forming the government at the Centre for the second consecutive term, Prime Minister
Narendra Modi on Sunday assured the people he will take the nation to new heights on all fronts in the next five years.
The Prime Minister arrived on a thanksgiving visit to the temple city of Tirupati to offer prayers to Lord Venkateswara at the
Tirumala Hill temple on Sunday.

Tirupati Airport around 5.30pm on Sunday. Jaganmohan Reddy introduced his cabinet ministers, MPs and MLAs to the Prime Minister.

"I have been blessed to visit the temple city of Tirupati several times in the past and today after forming the new government at the Centre for the second consecutive term, I'm here to lay my head at the lotus feet of Lord Venkateswara and seek his divine blessings for the prosperity of the nation. I want Lord Venkateswara to bless the 130 crore people of this great country so that their dreams are fulfilled," said PM Modi.
Asking BJP party workers to rededicate themselves in the service of the people as the elections are now over, Modi underlined that winning the hearts of the people was more important as that will eventually lead the party to winning the elections.
"People of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu have upheld the values of democracy in the 2019 polls. A formidable government led by YS Jaganmohan Reddy has assumed office in the state. I congratulate him on his electoral victory and assure the people of Andhra Pradesh that the Union government will commit itself and do all that is possible for the comprehensive development of the state," Modi said at the public meeting.
"Andhra Pradesh is a great land undergoing rapid progress on all fronts. In Delhi too there is a formidable government now. We believe that to build a strong nation we need to take forward the development of all states in line with our mantra
Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas," he added.
The Prime Minister said, there are little apprehensions among the people about how the new government will function in the second term. "People's expectations on the BJP-led government have increased in the last five years which is why they have reposed faith in us to take the nation forward. I have the confidence of 130 crore people and I assure that in the next five years we will take the nation forward to greater heights on all fronts," Modi said.
