HYDERABAD: Telangana Congress found an ally in TTDP during a crisis on Friday when it’s politburo member Ravula Chandra Sekhar Reddy sought to know from CM KCR if it was acceptable to him that nine TRS MPs resign and join BJP.
Addressing press conference at NTR Bhavan, Ravula said TRS had encouraged a record number of mergers. “Will KCR be calm if his MPs say they are joining BJP for the sake of development of the country?” he asked.

He pointed out that high court in undivided AP had observed that party mergers are possible with consent of two-third majority but not legislative party mergers. He alleged that TRS working against the spirit of constitution. “This is not a problem of one person, but the crisis emerged in democracy,” he said.
Saying that TTDP will stand for democratic spirit, he said, “Why is CM KCR not satisfied despite having full majority and winning 88 seats in assembly elections?”
