JAIPUR: There was a minor respite from the prolonged heatwave conditions on Friday but was not enough to be called as relief. Five persons reportedly died of heatstroke in Kota and
Udaipur district.
Churu remained hottest in the state where a maximum temperature of 46.6 degree Celsius was recorded, the met reports said on Friday.
On Thursday when Kota remained hottest in the state, police have found bodies of four persons, suspected to have died of
heat wave from separate parts in Kota district. Three yet to be identified bodies were kept at the mortuary of the hospitals while one after identification was handed over to the family members.
At
Udaipur one person identified as Veermal Katara( 35) died of heat stroke under Sadar police station area.
Attributing the dip in the mercury to the active northerly winds and upper air cyclonic circulation Jaipur
met office said that heat wave conditions will continue in the eastern and western parts of the state in the next couple of day.
Jaipurites woke up to a comparatively pleasant morning as a minimum temperature of 29.2 degree Celsius was recorded in the city.
It was followed by an afternoon having a minimum temperature of 43.6 degree Celsius. Since the maximum temperature came under 45 degree Celsius it was seen as a relief for natives of Jaipur. In this season so far Jaipur had witnessed its maximum temperatures upto 46.2 degree Celsius. In the evening mild
dust storm was witnessed in the city. However due to prolonged heat wave conditions people in Jaipur continue to witness water crisis and abrupt power cuts.
On Friday the maximum and minimum temperature saw a dip of almost 5 degree Celsius. Jaipur met office further stated that there would be increase in the maximum and minimum temperatures across the state on Saturday. A few places in the state are likely to witness dust storm and mild showers in the next 24 hours.
