The government is mulling to set up a National Institute of Valuers on the lines of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. The suggestion was made by Secretary in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Injeti Srinivas while speaking at a national seminar on Valuation in New Delhi today.
He called for professional competence, ethics and conduct in the valuation. The seminar was organized by the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Board of India.
The day-long seminar is aimed at tracking the developments in the Valuation landscape since the notification of the Rules and also discuss frontiers in valuation and international practices.
