Time To See What The Audi SQ2 Feels Like From Behind The Wheel

If you’re looking for a small, sporty SUV, then you might want to take a look at theAudi SQ2, as it is a very enticing proposition.

In theory, everything sounds quite promising, with the SQ2 sharing its DNA with the Volkswagen T-Roc R and Cupra Ateca. Fire power comes from the S3 Sportback in the form of a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder that puts out 296 hp (300 PS / 221 kW) and 280 lb-ft (400 Nm) of torque and is coupled to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and all-wheel drive, which can direct 100 percent of torque to the rear wheels when required. The SQ2 needs just 4.8 seconds required to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) and tops out at 155 mph (250 km/h).

Naturally, such a package, however small, doesn’t c0me cheap, as it costs €44,500 ($50,078) in Germany and £37,245 ($47,317/€42,044) in the UK. Audi isn’t interested in selling the SQ2 (or the Q2, for that matter) in the USA. Come to think of it, U.S. customers don’t even get the larger Q3; Audi’s North American SUV range starts from the Q5 (and SQ5), with the latter kicking off from $52,400.

With the basics of the car covered, it’s now time to take it out for a virtual spin from the driver’s seat. The following video gives a very good feedback and it’s only 6+ minutes long, so it won’t bore anyone. After viewing it, you might want to head over to this link and see some of the faults of the SQ2 which, sadly, are quite a few.
