Pagani Huayra Tempesta Is Screaming Out For A New Home

Pagani only ever built 100 examples of the Huayra Coupe, so’d think wealthy car collectors would be doing anything and everything to get their hands on one. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case with this particular example.

What we’re looking at is a 2014 Huayra Coupe currently up for sale from Miller Motorcars. The Italian exotic is fitted with the desirable (and pricey) Tempesta package, which includes a number of carbon aero add-ons and new wheels, and sports a body covered in naked carbon fiber contrasted by bright red accents. It certainly has a lot going for it – yet, it isn’t selling.

Back in late 2017, we first wrote about this Huayra with just 636 miles (1023 km) on its odometer. Fast forward to mid-2019 and itis still looking for a new home with a claimed 700 miles (1126 km) under its belt. Images of the dashboard, taken in July last year, show that mileage was sitting at 676 miles (1087 km) roughly 11 months ago.

This Huayra is the 57th car built and one of the most eye-catching delivered in the United States. Not only does it sport a wild bodywork, but the interior is even more extravagant thanks to bright red leather across the seats, dashboard, and door panels. The cabin is also clad in carbon fiber and aluminum like all other Huayras, and the images show that the car is also being sold with a custom luggage set finished in beautiful red leather.

No price has been listed, but we would expect it to be somewhere in the region of $2 million to $3 million. Given that its target group isn’t troubled by such trivial things like money, it’s possible that the divisive exterior and interior finishes have turned off some potential customers. As far as we’re concerned, though, if we had a bank account with a balance of at least nine figures, we would buy it in a heartbeat.
