Demanding the removal of Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) Secretary A. Ashok and seeking compensation for the family members of students who committed suicide after the Intermediate results, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad activists staged a dharna at the BIE office on Friday.
The activists, led by ABVP national executive committee member Praveen Reddy and city secretary Pagidipalli Srihari, raised slogans against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and the State Government seeking justice for the victims.
Mr. Praveen Reddy said that the Government conceded to the demand of reverification after the agitation launched by ABVP but BIE committed mistakes even in the reverification.
The ABVP also demanded the removal of Education Minister G. Jagadeesh Reddy.
