Odisha MLA makes official do squats

BHUBANESWAR: The Balangir district administration on Thursday ordered an inquiry after a video clip of a BJD MLA making a government officer do squats in public for alleged poor-quality roadwo-rk went viral on social media.
Though BJD’s first-time MLA from Patnagarh, Saroj Meher, soon tendered an apology for the incident, the aggrieved officer’s wife lodged a police complaint against him.
In her complaint, she alleged that the MLA had forcibly taken her husband from their house and insulted him with casteist remarks.
