“OPPO A1s mid-range phone is expected to come with a 6.1-inch display, dual rear cameras and MediaTek chipset”

OPPO launched the A1 mid-range smartphone back in March 2018, and reports suggest the company might be working its successor. Dubbed the OPPO A1s, the upcoming handset is said to be an upgraded version of the A1. To recall, the handset — with model number CPH1925 — had received certifications from TKDN in Indonesia, EEC in Europe, Wi-Fi Alliance as well as Bluetooth SIG. Now, as we wait for the launch, alleged live images of the OPPO A1s have surfaced online courtesy of Thai regulatory body NBTC (National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission).

The leaked OPPO A1s image reveals a polycarbonate build with horizontally arranged dual rear cameras and LED flash. Furthermore, the smartphone features a waterdrop notch to accommodate the front-facing camera and a relatively thick chin at the bottom. Since it is likely a budget phone, it neither has an in-display fingerprint sensor nor a traditional rear-mounted sensor. Users’ are likely to rely on the face unlock for security. The bottom is where the microUSB port, 3.5mm audio jack and headphone are present. While the SIM card slot and volume buttons are on the left, the power button is positioned on the right spine.

As for the other specifications, the OPPO A1s Bluetooth SIG certification in the past has revealed the handset could sport a 6.1-inch HD+ display and powered by 2GHz octa-core MediaTek processor. Connectivity features include Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. Unfortunately, that’s all the details we know so far. Since it received certification from various authorities, the launch could be right around the corner, so stay tuned.
