However, it is an untitled female-centric movie that Swathishta has pinned her hopes on. “The film is similar to Angadi Theru. The story revolves around girls working in garment factories around Tiruppur and the hardship they go through on a daily basis. This is a film that’s based on real-life incidents and Kishore plays a supervisor, who protects the girls from their struggles,” she revealed.
Divulging more about the film that is directed by Susi Ganesan’s associate Ram, Swathishta said, “Inspired by real-life incidents, the film is high on emotions, but we spoke to the girls working there and they narrated to us what they go through everyday without any emotions or drama.” The actress is also in talks for a couple of Malayalam films.
“Despite working across languages, I make it a point to dub in my own voice for my portions as I am quite proficient in the south languages. Being a Kannadiga, I dubbed in Savarakaththi and Kee. I’m also quite well-versed in Malayalam and looking forward to working there. It is because, Malayalam films are content-oriented and they do not let commercialism compromise the filmmakers creativity,” she concluded.
“I play one of the heroines in the film. Usually, sports dramas focus on heroes. Jada is quite different in that aspect. Apart from Kathir, there is another hero in the film who plays a deaf-mute and I play his pair. I motivate him to do what he likes, and the character develops with the story,” she told DT Next.
