MUMBAI: A teenager from Allahabad was arrested by Aarey police on Thursday for the murder of his father. Police said Ajay Pandey (19) was furious with his father, Ramayan (45), a watchman, for having an affair. Investigators suspected Ajay's involvement when he did not grieve at his father's death.

Around 10.30pm on June 5, police found a body at Aarey Colony. The man's throat had been slit and there were chest and stomach injuries. A cellphone was in his pocket. Police contacted his family on checking his call log established his identity.
"We found it strange that Ajay did not grieve. On checking Ajay's phone location, we found he was in Aarey when his father was murdered," said sub-inspector Avdhut Wadikar, Aarey police.
