Ambala cops arrest two with stolen bikes
AMBALA: Twelve stolen motorcycles were recovered by the crime investigation agency (CIA)-1 of the Ambala police. The police recovered the bikes from the possession of two accused. Ambala Superintendent of Police (SP) Mohit Handa informed, it was during night patrolling the CIA-1 arrested an accused Rameshwar alias Ishwar of Dukheri village in Ambala district who was booked under Section 379 (theft) and 411 (dishonestly receiving stolen property) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Parao police station. During the police interrogation, the accused had disclosed about his another accomplice Gurdeep alias Deepa of Ratanheri village in Ambala district.

Both the accused Rameshwar and Gurdeep were given police remand for three days by the court. On Thursday, on the completion of their remand the investigative team has recovered the 12 stolen motorcycle from their possession.
Further, the police told, of the twelve recovered motorcycles, 7 have been recovered in connection with the theft cases registered at Mullana, Shahzadpur, Parao, and Saha police stations of Ambala district; 4 have been recovered in connection with cases at Shahbad and Devilal Park areas of Kurukshetra district; and 1 bike which was stolen from Sadhaura Hospital of Yamunanagar district was recovered. CIA-1 in-charge inspector Sandeep Kumar said, "On Thursday, we have sought police remand for one more day of both the accused as per court orders as we are hoping to recover more details from them about other related thefts." Explaining the modus operanding the investigating officer said that the accused would steal the motorcycles using a master key and sell the same at lower prices and earn money. He said that further investigation would lead them to get tip offs for other thefts.
