OnePlus 7 Pro, Google Pixel 3A XL, Samsung Galaxy S10e, and more: Reviews round-up

1 of 16 NEXT PREV
  • OnePlus 7 Pro

    OnePlus 7 Pro

The OnePlus 7 Pro isn't necessarily a new approach for the company. Yes, it's the most expensive phone we've seen from OnePlus, but it's always aimed to make the best phone possible, charging less than the Apple, Samsung, and Huawei in the process. And in that regard, OnePlus has succeeded.

  • Google Pixel 3A XL

    Google Pixel 3A XL

There are trade-offs when it comes to the display and speed, but when it comes to battery life and the camera, the Pixel 3A XL shines. A realistic comparison for the Pixel 3A XL would be to Motorola's Moto G7, a $300 phone. If forced to pick between the two phones, we'd go with the Pixel 3A for no other reason than the camera.

  • Samsung Galaxy S10e

    Samsung Galaxy S10e

With affordable Android phones satisfying the masses, it's getting harder to justify the $1,000 smartphone. It's awesome to see Samsung offering the power of the S10 Plus in a much more compact form factor with very little compromise at a price hundreds less than the flagship. If you want a pocketable Android phone that has all of the latest technology, along with old tech like a 3.5mm headset jack and microSD card slot, you can't beat the S10e.

  • Dell Latitude 5420 Rugged

    Dell Latitude 5420 Rugged

The Dell Latitude 5420 Rugged is a competent rugged laptop. Well protected with an optional handle, it should survive life in the field unless treated very roughly. Swappable batteries and flexible configuration options mean that it can be fitted out to suit a range of working environments.

  • HP Chromebook 14A G5

    HP Chromebook 14A G5

The HP Chromebook 14A G5 is not a 'bells-and-whistles' Chromebook. The screen resolution is disappointing, the build quality solid but workaday, and the internal specifications are run-of-the-mill. But it has a very good keyboard, and it does the job it's meant to do very well -- at an attractive price.

  • Vaio SX14

    Vaio SX14

The new Vaio SX14 is a very attractive laptop in many respects, with a slim, lightweight design that's well suited for life on the road. It also provides strong, desktop levels of performance, along with a wide range of connectivity features that will be useful when you get back to the office. However, battery life leaves room for improvement.

  • Huawei P30

    Huawei P30

When the P30 models launched at full price, the standard P30 may have been the better buy. However, with the Huawei woes and price drops of the devices, the P30 Pro may be the better option with the more advanced capabilities. In both cases, you have to consider the risk of buying a Huawei device with the uncertainties surrounding the company, Android, and other partners.

  • Huawei P30 Lite

    Huawei P30 Lite

The P30 Lite is the most affordable of the three P30-series smartphones, which should give it some appeal. Rather than cut back across the board to hit its price target, Huawei has delivered an attractive industrial design and an above-average camera system, at the expense of screen technology and battery capacity. If you're happy with these trade-offs, the Huawei P30 Lite is a good buy.

  • Honor 20 Lite

    Honor 20 Lite

The Honor 20 Lite is competent, if a little underwhelming. Battery life and performance are fair, the cameras do a good enough job, and there's enough internal storage, with the option of a second SIM or external MicroSD storage if required. On the other hand, Micro-USB for charging is something of an anachronism, the screen is LCD rather than OLED, and the speaker distorts when the volume is turned up.

  • Jabra Elite 85h

    Jabra Elite 85h

It looks like the Jabra Elite 85h is the new champ for ANC over-the-ear headphones. At the current $100 savings over Bose and Sony, it's really a no-brainer to go out and purchase the Jabra Elite 85h. Audio quality is excellent, ANC works very well, you can make and receive calls without much compromise, and you can trust Jabra to keep the headphones updated with the latest and greatest functionality.

  • Powerbeats Pro

    Powerbeats Pro

At their core, the AirPods are Powerbeats Pro are very much the same product. Both use Apple's underlying technology -- specifically, the H1 chip -- to integrate seamlessly with Apple's ecosystem of products. We think the bottom line is this: If you hate the look of the AirPods but don't want to miss out on the ease of pairing and switching device, battery life, and impressive range -- the Powerbeats Pro are made for you.

  • Asus ZenFone 6

    Asus ZenFone 6

Asus deserves to have a success with the ZenFone 6. Long battery life, a configurable Smart Key, useful tweaks to Android via a revamped and toned-down ZenUI, and a clever camera system combine to make this a very impressive mid-range smartphone.

  • T-Mobile LG G8 ThinQ

    T-Mobile LG G8 ThinQ

The LG G8 ThinQ is compelling in many ways and the $620 price from T-Mobile definitely makes it one of the best flagship deals available today. Do explore the camera, floating bar, and superb audio experience. Our reviewer's main SIM keeps going back to this phone because of its solid, reliable performance as a communications device.

  • Wyze Sense

    Wyze Sense

There's no question that if you own a Wyze camera, you should spend the $20 and get a Wyze Sense kit. This bundle is an obvious upgrade for someone who wants to add more security features to their home, and the best part is it doesn't cost hundreds of dollars.

  • Roborock S6

    Roborock S6

The S6 was able to clean our reviewer's entire downstairs wood floors with its large 5200mAh battery in one charge. The Roborock has a very high-rated suction, advertised that it can lift AA batteries, and we saw full dust bins with every session, despite the overall impression the wood floors were clean. The main brush bristle density has increased when compared to the S5 so more may be getting picked up, too.

    Ring Stick Up Cam Battery

There's a monthly fee of $10 if you want access to any recordings captured by every Ring camera at your home. Or, if own only a single Ring camera, you can pay $3 a month for the same features.
