Thiruvananthapuram: Varkala police arrested a
wanted criminal who had been absconding for 10 years after committing around 25 robberies between 2006 and 2009.
The accused was identified as Noushad, 32, of Vettoor near Varkala.
Noushad has multiple cases registered against him pertaining to
robbery, armed assault, attempted murder and chain snatching. The alleged crimes took place under Varkala, Kadakkavoor, Chiriyankeezhu, Pallikkal, Paripalli and Paravoor police station limits.
Noushad was presented to the court and subsequently remanded into judicial custody. He was arrested in 2008 but went absconding after getting out on bail.
According to police, Noushad committed most of the crimes along with multiple accomplices. tnn
