Footage of five females engaged in a brawl in the middle of a North Carolina street has gone viral on social media.
The shocking video was filmed in the town of Mebane on Tuesday, before it was uploaded to Twitter and viewed more than 2 million times.
It appears the violent encounter was sparked by traffic incident, with the women seen fighting one another beside two parked cars on the three-lane road.
Clearly unable to contain their road rage, the 30-second clip begins with two women smacking each other in the head by the side of a red vehicle.
Another lady, clad in a pink top, then proceeds to the side of a silver automobile, where she pulls out a passenger and begins punching her in the back.
The passenger is quick to retaliate, lunging at her aggressor as she tries to get away.
The woman in pink then face plants into the ground, sparking amused laughter from the person who is filming the incident from nearby.
Then four fighting females are then joined by an elderly lady - who emerges from the silver car seemingly sick of the commotion.
'Why type of s** is this? Oh, grandma getting out of the car!' the person filming narrates, as the senior citizen totters around to the feuding women appearing as if she might break up the brawl.

However, the person filming is left stunned when the elderly lady begins joining in on the female free-for-all by smacking a lady lying helplessly on the road.
The video was shared on Twitter by a user named @Timia, and was accompanied by the caption: 'Only in Mebane, NC'.
The footage quickly went viral, sparking stunned reaction from many viewers.

Meanwhile, another left a sarcastic remark beneath the vision of the five white females. writing: 'I don't feel safe with these thugs roaming the streets.'
