A man has been charged for allegedly raping and torturing a woman in a 14-hour ordeal on the Sunshine Coast.
Police went to a Maroochydore home about 10.30am on Thursday, after a worker at the household raised the alarm.
It's alleged the man, 31, had held the woman against her will since 8pm the previous night.

Officers will allege that the woman was 'repeatedly assaulted and tortured'.
The man has been charged with rape, torture, deprivation of liberty, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and three counts of assault occasioning bodily harm.
He is due to appear at Maroochydore Magistrates Court later today.
