Musical biopics might be the new thing in Hollywood, and we can trace that back to 2018's Bohemian Rhapsody. The movie, about Freddie Mercury and Queen's rise to success, managed to snag a handful of trophies during the 2019 award season (including a Best Actor Oscar for Rami Malek), even though the production was littered with behind-the-scenes drama.

Bohemian Rhapsody follows the story of Mercury and his bandmates at the start of their musical journey with Queen, leading up to their performance at Live Aid in 1985. The movie doesn't shy away from the fact that Mercury contracted AIDS and later died from complications from it, but it does skip out on truly exploring his sexuality. Hey, you win some and you lose some, and anyway, eventually there'll be another Freddie Mercury movie down the road.

If you're looking to check out this one, it's already available in a few locations to watch without leaving the comforts of your couch.
