Share market update: Private Bank shares slip; IndusInd Bank falls over 4%

The Nifty Private Bank index was trading 1.23 per cent down at 17,448.55 around 12:33 pm.

NEW DELHI: Shares of Private banks were trading lower in Thursday's afternoon session.

Shares of IndusInd Bank (down 4.73 per cent), IDFC First Bank (down 4.29 per cent), YES Bank (down 2.36 per cent) and Federal Bank (down 2.13 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

RBL Bank (down 1.25 per cent), ICICI Bank (down 0.98 per cent), Axis Bank (down 0.77 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 0.64 per cent) too were trading lower.

The Nifty Private Bank index was trading 1.23 per cent down at 17,448.55 around 12:33 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 99.50 points at 11,922.15 while the BSE Sensex was down 279.19 points at 39,804.35.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 were trading in the green, while 37 were in the red.

Shares of DHFL, Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Bank of Baroda, SBI, GAIL, PNB, PFC, Federal Bank and IDFC First Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
