Thieves flee with school computer, projector during summer vacation

Nagpur: Unidentified persons have managed to flee with a computer, projector and other material worth Rs12,000 from a zilla parishad school at Tumdi during the ongoing summer holiday, in the jurisdiction of Bori police station of Nagpur rural. An offence of theft was registered at Bori police station on Wednesday.

It’s learnt that the school was closed for vacations on May 24. An anganwadi sevika, Gumpha Shewle, had the keys to the school. She used to look after the school during the vacations. Shewle used to visit the school to water the plants and also have a look around in the premises. She was stunned on seeing one of the rooms of the school building open on June 4.
Shewle immediately alerted school authorities about the theft as the computer, projector and some other materials were not present in the room. Principal Vijay Jogekar, on behalf of school authorities, approached Bori police station with the complaint.
