152 classes issued fire NOCs

Vadodara: The fire and emergency services department of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) issued 152 No Objection Certificates (NOC) on a single day to classes in the city on Thursday. This is the largest number of NOCs to be awarded by the civic body on a single day.
After sealing several classes across the city, the VMC was under pressure to ensure that these were inspected and opened at the earliest. The opposition in the civic body had also slammed the fire department for issuing only around 30 NOCs a day.
On Friday, the electric connections of the 152 classes that were issued NOCs were also reconnected. The fire department also slapped notices to six other classes as they did not have proper fire safety measures. The classes included a music academy.
