Andhra Pradesh chief secretary LV Subramanyam has directed the officials to make
foolproof arrangements for the
cabinet expansion ceremony to be held on June 8.
He said that the function would be held in the secretariat premises. The chief secretary reviewed the preparation of administration with the officials here on Thursday. He directed the officials to be careful in receiving the guests including the ministers-in waiting, their families and legislators. He asked the officials to create separate galleries for VIPs to prevent inconvenience. He instructed the officials to print the route map to the venue on the backside of the invitation for the ceremony. “Chief minister Jaganmohan Reddy is firm on not spending money on unneeded luxuries. The ceremony should be simple and also devoid of inconvenience,” the chief secretary said. He asked the police to take all measures to prevent traffic snarls on the roads that lead to secretariat. Subramanyam said that LED screens should also be set up in the rear end to enable all the guests watch the ceremony without any difficulty.
DGP Gautham Sawang said elaborate security arrangements are being made for the ceremony. He said that additional forces would be deployed to oversee the security of the VIPs. GAD principal secretary (political) RP Sisodia said that they were expecting about 5,000 guests to attend the ceremony. He said that they are making all arrangements to conduct the cabinet expansion ceremony hassle free. Later, the chief minister also reviewed the arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Tirupati on June 9. He directed the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams officials and Chittoor district administration to put all arrangements in place well before PM’s arrival to the temple city.
