The Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) continues to bungle despite facing public wrath over the recent goof-ups in Intermediate results. Two of the sealed trunks containing question papers of the advanced supplementary examinations, which are scheduled to be held from June 7, have gone missing from the strongroom of Mills Colony police station in Warangal.
The incident came to light two days ago when Custodian and Chief Superintendent of BIE Rajitha noted, during a general inspection, that of the 13 boxes stored in the strong room, only 11 were present. The BIE officials and the police launched a search immediately. Apart from searching the police station, they scouted the office of District Common Examination Board and Government High School at Shambunipet where the trunks were stored before being shifted to the police station. The missing trunks contain question papers of second-year exams to be held on June 9 and 10. The Warangal police have received a complaint from Ms. Rajitha and have launched an investigation.
Central Zone DCP Narasimha said they have appointed Warangal ACP Narsaiah as the investigation officer in the case.
Responding to the situation, TSBIE Secretary M. Ashok has asked the students not to worry as the advanced supplementary examinations would be conducted as per schedule. In a statement released by the TSBIE, he said they have replaced the missing question papers with different ones.
