Haryana: Murder case registered after over one month of mysterious death

AMBALA: The Ambala police have registered a murder case a month after a youth in Kurukshetra was found dead in a water tank at Thamber village of Ambala district in Haryana on April 30 this year. The deceased was identified as Sukhwinder Singh, 26, of Lakhmari village in Kurukshetra district.

On the complaint of Mehar Singh, Sukhwinder’s father, the Barara police station on Tuesday registered a case under IPC Sections 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) and 302 (punishment for murder) to commence the investigation.
In his complaint, Mehar stated, “I am an ex-serviceman and presently posted as a guard in a bank. On April 30, the body of my married son Sukhwinder Singh was found from a water tank of a tube-well in the fields of Mohan Singh alias Monu at Thamber village under limits of Barara police station. My son had left home on April 29 on his motorcycle and he died under mysterious circumstances. As per the call details of my son, it has come to fore that he talked to Angrej Singh of Mehmudpur village and his accomplice.”
