'Starts at the top': Blues need revamp before coach, says Malthouse
Newly inducted Australian Football Hall of Fame coach Mick Malthouse has urged Carlton's board to have a long, hard look in the mirror before beginning the search for a replacement for Brendon Bolton.
Malthouse, who was sacked by the Blues in 2015, said every coach since Denis Pagan would've left the club frustrated by off-field issues hindering on-field success.
"It always starts at the top ... that's not to say that they're not good people, they just simply need to have a look at the structure and say 'What do we really need here?'" Malthouse said on Wednesday.
