HC seeks info on its new annexe from govt

Nagpur: The Nagpur bench of Bombay high court sought information from Maharashtra government on its new annexe building within two weeks.
The directive came while hearing an application from the High Court Bar Association (HCBA) for approving design of new structure, slated to come up at two acres land behind PWD executive engineer’s bungalow in front of HC premises.

In last hearing on March 6, the HC had asked state finance department to take a decision on HCBA’s proposal in two weeks and forward it to the high-powered committee (HPC). The HPC was told to take a decision within four weeks.
Earlier, undersecretaries of finance, PWD and law and judiciary departments were present in the court after being summoned and they informed about their respective positions on the issue.
