COLOGNE - The Cologne Convention Bureau (CCB) has published the new issue of “Meeting Point Cologne” for 2019/20. This handbook in a magazine style, which is aimed at event organizers and planners from all over the world, presents Cologne as a congress destination on 172 pages. The magazine’s focus is on the extensive editorial section, which deals, among other things, with the themes of business, science and culture, all of which play a key role in shaping the event business. Readers will receive interesting insights into themes such as the hundredth anniversary of the new University of Cologne, the start-up sector and co-working in Cologne, and the current focus topic in Cologne’s tourism sector, Culinary Cologne. This section of the magazine is enhanced by three interviews with
- Prof. Michael Hallek, the founder and director of CIO (Center for Integrated Oncology at the University Hospital of Cologne),
- Matthias Pollmann, Head of trade fair management division at Koelnmesse,
- Claudia Hessel, the coordinator of Cologne’s Offenbach Year 2019.
The CCB’s activities aimed at marketing Cologne as a congress destination are supported by numerous partners in Cologne and the surrounding region, which are presented in the new issue of “Meeting Point Cologne”. It equips event organizers with a comprehensive overview of event locations and conference hotels as well as providers of event services. This year more than 170 partners participate in the CCB’s partner model.
