Comedian Tracy Morgan has been involved in a low-speed crash with his white Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport just minutes after purchasing the hypercar.
The 50-year-old actor was driving his Veyron in Manhattan when he got into a fender bender with a silver Honda CR-V at a traffic light. A video filmed immediately after the incident shows Morgan banging on the window of the CR-V, yellow “B*tch, get out of the car.” Morgan can then be heard telling those nearby “It’s a $2 million car. Just bought it!”
Morgan purchased the car from Manhattan Motorcars between 30 minutes to an hour before the crash.
Buzzfeed News were told by an NYPD spokesperson that the incident occurred at the intersection of 42nd street and Tenth Avenue in Manhattan.
“When officers got to the scene, they found two vehicles that were involved in a very minor traffic accident where two cars were basically side by side, and as the light turned green the cars touched. They rubbed slightly,” the NYPD said.
Speaking with Page Six, the woman driving the CR-V says she didn’t recognize Morgan and believes that he is the one to blame for the collision.
“We are both turning right – people are still crossing. So what happened is we’re both turning right. But I know he hit me because I was already [turning]. I was there, he was the one who hit me!” she said.
A 23-year-old witness stated that it was the woman who hit the Bugatti.
Neither driver was charged and the incident is expected to be settled through their respective insurance companies.
