Diman Regional fell to host Assabet Valley Regional 7-6 in the Massachusetts Vocational Baseball Tournament championship game on Tuesday in Marlborough.

The Bengals led 6-4 after three innings before Assabet scored once in the fifth and then twice in the sixth on two Bengal errors.

Daniel Perron, Jr. led Diman's offense, going 2-for-2 with two runs batted in. Noah Girard had a hit and two RBIs.

Diman (15-3) hosts Norton on Thursday at 4 p.m. in the Division 3 South tourney.

GIRLS' TENNIS

Dover-Sherborn 5, Somerset Berkley 0: At D-S, the hosts dropped just four games in sweeping past Somerset Berkley Regional 5-0 in the first round of the Division 2 South girls' tennis tournament on Tuesday at D-S.

Fourth-seeded D-S (15-1) won 36 of the 37 singles games. Thirteenth-seeded SBR (12-8) was coming off a 3-2 preliminary-round win over Middleborough on Monday.
