Ahmedabad: Band of eunuchs attacks architect

AHMEDABAD: An architect from Bopal who has his office at SG Road, on Monday filed a complaint at Vastrapur police station, stating that a group of 10 eunuchs attacked him because he refused to give them the Rs 30,000 they were demanding.
Akash Gopalani, whose office is at the World Capital Complex behind Rajpath Club, stated in his FIR that his office boy, Rohit Thakor, called him up at around noon on Monday and told him that a group of eunuchs had come to the office.
When Gopalani arrived there, some 10 eunuchs were sitting outside. They demanded that he give them Rs 30,000 for the opening of his new office, but Gopalani refused to do so. After this, one of them grabbed his collar and another pushed him. The other eunuchs then started hitting and abusing him.
Based on Gopalani’s complaint, Vastrapur police registered an FIR against the eunuchs under IPC Sections 143 (member of an unlawful assembly), 147 (rioting), 149 (offence with similar motive), 294 (B) (obscene act or utterance), 323 (causing hurt) and 384 (extortion).
