Nine students from Telangana figured among the toppers in the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP Eamcet) 2019, the results of which were declared here on Tuesday.
Six of them were among the top 10 in engineering and three in medical, agriculture and other streams.
The results were released by AP State Council of Higher Education Chairman S. Vijaya Raju, Principal Secretary (Higher Education) K. Damayanti, Commissioner (Technical Education) G.S. Panda Das, Eamcet Chairman and JNTU-K Vice-Chancellor M. Ramalinga Raju and Convenor Ch. Saibabu, at the APSCHE office at Tadepalli.
In the engineering stream, Kuriseti Ravi Sriteja of West Godavari district bagged the first rank with score of 97.5086 (Eamcet and Intermediate combined).
P. Veda Pranav of Telangana secured the second rank with a score of 95.5619 and Gorthi Bhanu Datta of West Godavari stood third with a score of 94.1806.
In the medical and agriculture streams, Sunkara Sai Swathi of Chittoor district secured the first rank with a score of 97.2314, Dasari Kiran Kumar Reddy of East Godavari got the second rank with a score of 94.4065, and Atyam Sai Praveen Gutpa of East Godavari stood third with a score of 94.3407, said Ms. Damayanti.

The other Telangana students who made a mark were D. Chandrasekhara S.S. Hethahavya, Battepati Karthikeya, Appakonda Abhijit Reddy, Aryan Laddha and Allampalli Hema Venkata Abhinav (engineering stream) and Tipparaju Hasitha, G. Madhuri Reddy and Empati Kushwanth (medical, agriculture and other streams). In the engineering stream, Rishi Sarraf of Madhepura in Bihar got the sixth rank.
As many as 1,38,160 (74.39%) students qualified in the engineering stream and 68,512 (83.64%) students in the medical and agriculture branches.
Prof. Ramalinga Raju said the students can download their rank cards from June 10 by logging into www.sche.ap.gov.in/ eamcet.
JNTU-K conducted Eamcet-2019 at 115 centres in A.P. and Telangana from April 20 to 24, said Prof. Saibabu.
