Pune police nab 1 in Mumbai murder case

Pune: Officials of the city police Crime Branch Unit I claimed to have arrested a person involved in the murder case of  38-year-old  Anand Narayan, who was murdered on Monday night in Mumbai’s Antop Hill.
 
The deceased was found with his throat slit by the Mumbai police at his residence. 

According to Police Inspector Arun Waykar of Crime Branch Unit 1, Police Naik Tushar Khadke and Police Head Constable Rizwan Jinedi received a tip-off that the accused involved in the crime and identified as Sarang Patharkar (34), was near Onkareshwar temple in Shaniwar Peth.

Accordingly,  a team of police officials nabbed Patharkar. 

On interrogation, he said there was a financial dispute between him and Narayan, which led to the murder. 

The police said Narayan was earlier working for a media house and was currently into the hotel business with Patharkar.
